  Generation - Prep for bigger change?????

  this apparent change to the "generation" is pretty major i think.. when we consider all of the changes in understanding (i mean flashes of light!.

  the 1995 change extended this old system by detaching the generation from 1914.. then the may 2007 wt qfr detached the gathering of the anointed from 1935.. now the latest change detaches the generation from all mankind except the small group of anointed.. and because of the 1935 detachment this could run for quite sometime.. most r & f jws will embrace this with both hands.

  for me that is my greatest concern - millions will not even stop to think that we only had a flash of light about.

  WT Finances shaky?

  with the dollar devaluing, the real estate market in the usa tanking and the biggest growth in jws coming from the lower income areas, i'll bet they are in financial hurt.

  bigger hurt than the protestants down the street, or the bottomless coffers of the roman catholics.. as the r and f ages, they realize that they must take any measures they can to provide for their "golden years" and are probably reducing donations.

  and as the children leave the fold, they will be less likely to support mom and dad giving their estate to the fds.

  enlightenment is not about being happy or being sad, its about understanding the causes and reasons behind either state of mind. if you are paining yourself, you will keep on doing it until you understand how and why...once you understand, then you can do something else, which may lead to something less painful...when you see how you cause pains by your own Belief System, then you can change your BS. --doc it hurts when I do this.... ..stop doing that!

  oh, boy.

  just had these thoughts rattling around in my head a few days, so wanted to get your takes.

  my college son and i were talking and he said a fellow worker in his 50's said he had been aware his mother was sick and dying in another town , but had not died yet.

  as to where we go... in my past life regression, after being shot to death, I found myself in a realm much like this one, purposefully designed to help the newly dead adjust and prepare for their re-entry back to this place... both places were mental inventions, stablized by many minds keeping the data intact. a single mind usually does not have the ability to keep the data stable and thus personal dreams are always shifting while shared worlds are not so flimsy. the matter that SEEMS real to you know is really all within your mind and I defy anyone to prove otherwise, because it cannot be done... you have never known nor will ever know anything but the contents of your own mind... so this shared DREAM world is the only world you have ever known and when you seem to die here, you join another shared dream world and either move on or return here, but you never will experience any world which is not your own minds invention. you have NEVER known a moment when you did not exist and you never will... not remembering that you existed is not the same as not existing as most of us dont remember existing while we sleep... but no matter when you wake up you are coming from either a dream or a stream of thoughts which are in motion...just quickly forgotten at times.

  materialistic atheists ignore the most important points... if we are just animated matter...then the brain is just a very very complex computer and is doing nothing more than moving DATA around a bio-chemical circuit and data can be symbolized and carried on just about any medium such as electrical impulses and chemical releases, etc... but there is no explanation for the perceiver of that data. no matter how many ones and zeros you can ever move around a circuit you will never find any part of that circuit able to FEEL pain and pleasure and SEE red and blue or green...all data can do is symbolize these things, not expeirence them. conscious minds are different from any computer in that we experience pain and pleasure and CARE about which we will experience next... computer do not give a $#!+ because win or lose its all the same to them, they have no self to be self interested in... they can be programmed to pretend to care, but they cannot care on their own for themselves.
  
  no amount of data processing and data manipulation can produce a data experiencer, sorry, Terry, you are just flat out wrong on this one.

  What is the key that unlocks the mental grip of the WT?

  ive wondered this from time to time, especially in trying to figure out how i finally broke free and in looking at the stories of others.

  if you asked me a few years ago, i probably would have said either seeing too much hypocrisy or suffering the last straw of spiritual and/or emotional abuse.

  but i know in my case and others, even that wasnt enough to break the mental shackles.

  to stop attending meetings, you have already broken some mental shackling... the thing is that despite their damnation of hypnosis, they practice is regularly and artfully.
  
  stage hypnosis is not really what hypnosis is about...its really about allowing another to THINK FOR YOU... to SUGGEST how you should interpret your experiences FOR YOU.
  
  NO INDEPENDANT THINKING
  
  DEPENDANT THINKING = being hypnotized.
  
  once you stop trusting the hypnotist to THINK FOR YOU, you start to THINK for yourself...
  
  meetings help create a peer pressure and mob thought process... you model everyone around you, and when you perceive everyone around you having a common thought...that invades your thinking and causes more conformity.

  according to JW Belief System-- he who endures to the END will be saved, so there can be no offical ending of the annoited being sealed until they all make it... if one should fall just before the big A...then another would have to be chosen to fill the A hole.

  I have said it before and I will say it again, I hope that this WAS a conspiracy, otherwise the GREATEST power on earth is truly a maze of bumbling fools and they have their finger on nuclear weapons...
  
  after spending trillions of dollars on weaponary for decades the US has NO defenses against attack? really? the pentagon is a sitting duck? really?
  
  there are NO fighter planes able to scramble into a defense of the capitol city of this country? really?
